Guv Vi confirms Ralph Recto is one of Poe’s advisers
Despite being a Liberal Party (LP) stalwart, Senator Ralph Recto has been acting as an adviser to Senator Grace Poe, his wife has revealed.
In a recent interview with showbiz scribes, Batangas Governor Vilma Santos, said she is thankful that Poe has decided to adopt him as part of her senatorial slate as a way of expressing her gratitude for his help in the Senate.
In her speech introducing Recto as a common senatorial candidate, Poe described Santos’ husband as an indispensable lawmaker because of his knowledge in economics and legislative work.
The governor said she appreciates Poe’s gesture to back Recto’s candidacy even though he belongs to the administration party.
And that’s good,” she said.
Since LP senatorial candidates are barred from sharing the stage with opponents of administration standard bearer Mar Roxas, it was Recto and Santos’ son, Ryan Christian, who took his father’s place at the Poe-Escudero tandem’s unveiling of its senatorial slate.
