Kape pa: Amadeo town to host 3-day coffee festival – Mayor Ambagan
As part of the efforts to promote the local coffee industry, the town of Amadeo, Cavite will be holding its three-day “Pahimis 2017” festival starting April 21 to 23.
The festival is only fitting due to Amadeo’s monicker as the “Coffee Capital of the Philippines,” Mayor Albert Ambagan, Sr., said.
The politiko said the festivities will be hosted by the municipal government with Department of Tourism Assistant Secretaries Frederick Alegre and Maria Lourdes Japson gracing the event.
Various competitions like the “Amadeo Latte Art ThrowDown” and “Barista Challenge” will be this year’s added attractions to promote the best coffee produce to the coffee connoisseurs and drinkers joining the festival.
From its humble beginning in 2002, “Pahimis” has grown to be a full swing celebration to showcase the town’s prime agricultural product – Amadeo coffee.
