Anti-Epal: Can you spot Mayor Pidi Barzaga’s name on this government property?
While most of us has been used to seeing Politikos’ names and faces plastered all over government property to indicate that these are they’re projects, Dasmarinas City Mayor Pidi Barzaga is like a breath of fresh air.
As he unveiled their newest city tow truck, it is refreshing to see that his name nor face is nowhere to be found. The truck–text free aside from its label that it is city-property.
According to the post, Mayor Pidi decided to prioritize bringing in a new tow truck because of the numerous incidents of truck or bus breakdown on Dasma’s main roads.
“It is a perennial problem of the city when passenger buses and 10-wheeler trucks break down or meet accidents along national highways within the jurisdiction of Dasmariñas causing heavy traffic. There are cases that owners of these vehicles take 3-4 days before they remove their vehicles from the highways. Thus, the new tow truck will be utilized in such cases where 10-wheeler trucks or passenger buses meet accidents or break down along major thoroughfares of the city.”
The Politiko expressed his disapproval of hiring third party and private towing companies, like they have resorted to before. “We should be self-reliant and solve our problems immediately. Gagamitin natin itong bagong tow truck na ito para maiwasan ang mga problema sa traffic dahil sa mga malalaking sasakyan na nasisiraan sa mga kalsada sa Dasmariñas.”
Nice move, Mayor Pidi!
