Laguna distributes patrol boats, fishing equipment to province’s fisherfolk
The Province of Laguna distributed patrol boats and fishing equipment to fisherfolk communities as part of the celebration of the Fish Conservation Week.
“Dahil ipinagdiriwang natin ngayon ang Fish Conservation Week ay binigyan din naman ng kasiyahan ang ating mga maliliit na mangingisda kasabay ng ika-54 taong pagdiriwang ng Fish Conservation Week ng Bureau of Fish and Aquatic Resources R IV-A,” Laguna Governor Ramil Hernandez said.
Aside from the distribution patrol boats and other equipment, Hernandez also led the river seeding in Santa Cruz town.
“Kasama ko sa napakahalagang programa na ito si Mayor Dennis Panganiban, RD Lilian Garcia CESO ng BFAR R IV-A kasama ang kawani nito at mga mangingisda na mula pa sa bayan ng Santa Cruz, Victoria, Kalayaan at Siniloan,” the governor said.
Hernandez added that the program also aims to support the development of the Laguna Lake.
“Layunin din nito na mapangalagaan ang ating mga ilog at lawa ganun din ang pagpapanatili ng yaman tubig ng Laguna Lake. “Tandaan na ang wasto at matalinong pag-gamit sa ating likas na yamang tubig ang magdadala sa atin sa magandang kinabuksan,” said Hernandez.
