Laguna Lake Highway phase 2 now open to motorists
The Laguna Lake Highway Phase 2, which aims to cut the travel time from Bicutan to Taytay, Rizal, has been officially opened today.
Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar, Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano, Bases Conversion and Development Authority President and CEO Vivencio Dizon Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano led the opening of the Laguna Lake Highway Phase 2.
A new bicycle lanes at the Hagonoy Pumping Station in Taguig City was also opened on today.
“The Laguna Lake Highway Project, also known as the Circumferential Road 6 (C6) located along the areas surrounding the Laguna de Bay, covers the construction and widening of bridges, improvement and widening of existing asphalt road, a bike lane, and a pedestrian sidewalk,” according to the government’s Build Build Build statement.
It added that the project seeks to cut the usual one hour travel time to Taytay, Rizal into 30 minutes.
