Kala niyo TV network lang meron? Cainta Mayor Kit Nieto lends his pipes for inspiring Cainta Christmas town ID
It’s not just the giant TV networks who have their own station IDs for the holidays.
Cainta has its own heart-warming Christmas town ID video that features an inspiring tear-jerker and the vocal stylings of its very own Mayor Kit Nieto.
With the politiko’s rendition of Bridge Over Troubled Water serving as backdrop, the nearly seven minute video tells the story of a mother struggling to raise her teenage son.
The boy falls ill, but is helped by Cainta officials who rush him to the hospital. The town even helps her with their medical expenses.
Later, the devoted mother was able to secure housing assistance from the municipal government, allowing the two of them to have their own home. Later, their worries over his schooling were solved when he gets a scholarship to a Cainta college.
The mother later passes away, but the boy was able to continue his studies.
The mayor shared the link to the video on his Facebook page, and many of his constituents loved it. Not a few said they shed tears over the story.
