Hanggang kailan pa? Former Senator Bong Revilla Jr. keeps trust in justice system as he seeks prayers for his release
Former Senator Bong Revilla Jr. is nearing the fourth year of his detention since he surrendered in 2014 to face plunder charges for supposedly pocketing pork barrel funds.
He reminisced about his 1,357 days in jail in a post shared on his Facebook page, where he also lamented the many special and important family occasions he missed because of his detention.
According to him, he does not deserve to be in jail, but he is keeping faith that the justice system in the country works and he would soon be free.
He is facing all charges against him squarely and will keep on fighting for the truth, he said. Nothing has been proven against him, he noted.
But while trusting in the courts, Revilla also asked his supporters to continue praying for him.
He is sure their prayers would be heard someday!
“I do not deserve to be incarcerated, gayunpaman, buo ang tiwala ko sa sistema kaya’t mula’t sapul ay sumailalim ako rito.
“This will never weaken my resolve to fight for the truth and what is right. I am steadfast in my commitment to our kababayans.
“Naniniwala pa rin ako sa hustisya. I trust that the truth will prevail and that I will be vindicated.
Please continue to pray for me. – 30 –,” he said on Facebook.
