Mar 12, 2018 @ 20:25

It’s not just progress that has come to Laguna, but progressive views as well.

There won’t be any need for people in Laguna to fear coming out of the closet, because the provincial government would support them.

This is what Laguna Vice Gov. Karen Agapay vowed as she congratulated Miss Laguna Gay Queen 2018 winner Maizhy Joseph Aquino Badenas, who hails from San Pablo.

The politiko seemed impressed by Badenas’ answer in the contests Q&A portion, when she said the true crown is not worn over the had, but in your heart.

Agapay said the winner was an inspiration not just to members of the LGBT community, but to Laguna residents as well.

She also vowed that the Laguna government would support their rights and advocacies.

We bet this support is even better than any crown!

“March 11, 2018: True crown is not worn over your head, but in your heart… is what Miss Laguna Gay Queen 2018 winner from San Pablo City Maizhy Joseph Aquino Badenas’ response as to what really is important in winning this pageant 😊❤

Congrats to our new queen and her court! You are truly an inspiration, not only to the LGBT community, but to us Lagunenses, as well. Rest assured that the provincial government, headed by Gov Ramil Hernandez will remain supportive of your rights and advocacies,” Agapay posted.
