A time to mourn! Bauan, Batangas suspends work to say goodbye to the late Mayor Herminigildo Dolor
Like Tanauan, Bauan, Batangas is also mourning the loss of its mayor and would get a day off from work to say goodbye to him.
Bauan Mayor Herminigildo Dolor passed away on June 28, though not through violence like Tanauan’s Mayor Antonio Halili.
Batangas Governor Dodo Mandanas approved the request of Acting Bauan Mayor Ronald Cruzat to suspend classes in public and private schools, as well as work in all government offices and agencies in the town on Thursday, July 5.
This is to allow the town’s residents to bid goodbye to the mayor and to join rites to honor his contribution to Bauan, Cruzat said.
“Para mag-bigay daan sa Luksang Parangal para sa ating minamahal na Punong Bayan Herminigildo J. Dolor, wala pong pasok bukas sa lahat ng government offices at agencies, at walang klase sa lahat ng pribado at pampublikong paaralan,” Cruzat posted on Facebook.
