Mayor Nieto: Poor families still hard-pressed to support children’s education despite free tuition

Jul 11, 2018 @ 10:22

Cainta Mayor Kit Nieto, in his Abante column, said he has stepped up his assistance to school children at the start of the school year last month.

The Rizal politiko explained that it is not easy for poor families to support their children in public schools despite the free tuition.

Nieto said this is because poor families still need to allot money for school supplies.

‘Yung pang-field trip?” he said.

Nieto said Filipinos should be more cognizant of the realities of poor families.
