Strike Revilla: Social media, internet ‘mere tools’ not end goals

Jul 18, 2018 @ 15:14

Cavite 2nd District Representative Strike Revilla, in his Abante column, said he is surprised that there are 4 billion internet users in 2018, 7% higher than 2017.

The Cavite politiko cited the 2018 Global Digital report conducted by We Are Social and Hootsuite.

He explained that while the internet and social media has connected many people all over the world, there are still many bad elements exploiting the medium.

He reminded Filipinos that social media and the internet are mere tools.

“Huwag nating hayaan na lamunin tayo nito. Let us all be conscious of the fact that social media is just a tool, not an end goal to aspire for. Pag ganyan, siguradong Like tayong lahat, at walang Dislike o Angry,” he said.
