Tanauan officials call for justice for killing of Mayor Thony Halili 40 days after his death
It’s been 40 days since the shocking assassination of Tanauan Mayor Antonio Halilii, and his fellow officials continue to call for justice for his death.
The new Tanauan Mayor, Jhoanna Corona-Villamor, joined the mass to commemorate the 40th day of his death.
Also with her is Vice Mayor Ben Corona, the rest of the city council and employees of the local government.
Villamor, who shared photos of the mass on her Facebook page, said the local officials are one with Halili’s family in their continued call for justice for his killing.
Life goes on in Tanauan, but its officials will never forget Halili.
“Bilang paggunita sa ika 40 araw ng Kamatayan ni Mayor Thony C Halili ay nagdaos ng Misa na pinangasiwaan ni Father Totit Mandanas ang kanyang Pamilya upang alalahanin ang Yumaong Mayor. Dumalo dito ang kanyang malalapit na na kamaganak at mga Kaibigan at mga taga Suporta.Dumalo din dito si Mayor JHOANNA C. CORONA-VILLAMOR at Vice Mayor BEN C. CORONA at ang mga miyembro ng SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD at ang mga Empleyado ng Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Tanauan, upang makiisa sa patuloy na Pagdadalamhati ng Pamilya na Patuloy na Humihingi ng Hustisya,” Villamor posted.
