A new Puno plants roots in Antipolo politics
There’s a new Puno growing in Philippine politics and he has started to put down roots in Antipolo.
Randy Puno has taken his oath as the newest Rizal Board Member representing Antipolo City.
He is no stranger to politics as his mother Chiqui is the incumbent representative of the city, while his father Robbie previously held the post.
In a Facebook post, Randy thanked his parents for serving as good examples of good governance. He also expressed his gratitude to his mentors, which include his teachers, the Ynares family, and to the lord.
Will this new Puno bear fruit in Philippine politics?
“It’s official! I have been appointed to fill the vacancy in the Provincial Legislature of Rizal as Board Member representing the 1st District of Antipolo City.
I owe this opportunity to a number of people:
My mom and dad, who are not only model parents, but exemplars of good governance;
My mentors, both in the private and public sector, who continue to remind me that there is no substitute for hard work;
My teachers, who, through 17 years of Jesuit education, have instilled in me the desire to be a man for others and to seek the magis;
The Ynares family, whom I look up to and truly consider family;
And God, whose greater glory this is all for.
Here’s to a new career dedicated to public service!” Randy posted on Facebook.
