Mayor Ferrer eyes 100% literacy rate in General Trias in 2019
General Trias Mayor Antonio Ferrer wants the the city to have a 100% literacy rate in 2019.
The city currently has a 95.97% literacy rate.
The Cavite politiko said he plans to increase the P97.3-million budget for various programs that help children.
He also vowed to continue providing paid internships to poor students during the summer.
Ferrer said the city government is eyeing to increase the number of educational institutions in the city.
“While the city takes care of the purchase of the land, Congressman Ferrer is responsible for the construction part,” he said.
